Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) is a directory service developed by Microsoft for Windows environments. Deployed on-premises, it enables centralized management of identities, resources, and security policies within a corporate network infrastructure. AD DS organizes objects (users, computers, groups, OUs) in a hierarchical structure based on the LDAP protocol and provides authentication and authorization for access to domain resources.

This multiple-choice quiz tests basic knowledge of the following topics :

  • Active Directory architecture and components (domains, forests, domain controllers)
  • AD object management (users, groups, organizational units)
  • Group policies (GPOs) and their application
  • Directory services and associated protocols (LDAP, DNS)
  • Security and authentication concepts
  • Day-to-day administration and best practices

I've been passionate about IT from the very beginning and am determined to make a career out of it. I'm halfway to my goal : I've completed my TSSR certification and am continuing my studies in ASR (System/Network Administration).

What sets me apart ? My perseverance and an atypical approach to problems. I love getting to the root cause of incidents, gaining an in-depth understanding of infrastructure, and helping others get out of IT trouble.
I love challenging myself with the tests on the WeLoveDevs platform, so creating content to give back was a no-brainer for me.

I'm always up for new challenges, such as those I might encounter during a two-year work-study program in System/Network Administration within a team that values technical curiosity and continuous improvement. So, if my profile intrigues you, don't hesitate to contact me !
